Writing the abc's

It was Sunday 28th March 2010.
Jerry was fiddling with his magna doodle and he wrote cat,
then he asks,"Mummy, why my a looks like 9?"
then he writes lov
and he says,"Mummy, how you write e?"
then he writes cgs
and he says, "I write cgs coz i going cgs (Cathechesis of the Good Shepherd) later.

I knew he is ready for his alphabet writing. After all he already knows the sounds of the alphabets.

So I started...
my take is to start the lower case first as they are full of curves.
Here's how I started.
Jerry, you know how to write 1? the letter l also looks like it.
Then you add a dot on top, u get i.
and the order that I am going to teach goes like this...
l,i,t
u,y,j,
c,a,d,g,q
o,e,f,s,
r,n,m,h,b,p,
k,v,w,x,z.
Then on to the upper case.

As Jerry doodles and doodles, he sure has his own ideas.
l,i,t,c,g,o is what he can manage right now. So here's what I am left, the 20 alphabets.

Jerry, you are 3 months away from 4 years old. Way to go Jerry! Mummy's proud of you ;)
