The Alphabets!

Teaching the alphabets - Jerry seems to know some already but which exactly i am not really sure so i thought i better sit down and do work proper with this little one so I was told to start in this pattern by a friend and I will try coz I know if i go accordingly, the little rascal will memorise and anticipate what letter comes next. so here's the order it will go
S, A, T, N, I, P, K
C, E, M, B, F, H
G, R, L, O, U, D
J, Q, V, W, X, Y, Z
and so, how shall I plan my alphabets? With 26 of them, hhmmmmm
I would teach the sound of it with the Ants on the Apple CD
So starting 27th Jan, I'll do the S, the curvy S ;)
1. Sing "Sausages are sizzling ....s,s,s"
2. Print the Big and small S and get beans or rice to glue on so it becomes something like a sand alphabet. Jerry can feel the alphabet for himself. http://www.first-school.ws/t/alphabet/template/coloring-letter-s.htm
3.Introduce his favourite dinosaur that starts with S http://www.first-school.ws/t/alpha_tracers_zb1/dinosaurs/s.htm
4.Give alphabet S tracing for him to do. http://www.first-school.ws/t/alpha1/s.htm
5.Do the book with him. Cut and let him match the word. Help him to paste. http://www.first-school.ws/t/alpha2/s1_nt.htm http://www.first-school.ws/t/alpha2/s2_nt.htm
6. Sausages spaghetti for lunch/dinner. Let him see the sausage sizzling.
7. Swimming for the physical for the day! :)
8. Identify and circle each of the capital and lower case examples of the letter being learned. http://www.beginningreading.com/Alphabet_2Ss.gif
9.The child has to print the letter at the beginning of the word under each picture. The child can then practice "reading" each word. http://www.beginningreading.com/Alphabet_3Ss.gif
10.The child has to identify and circle items starting with the letter being learned. http://www.beginningreading.com/Alphabet_4Ss.gif
